Flying to Chamonix from the UK
Travel to Chamonix is very quick and easy with direct flights from most major UK airports to Geneva. The transfer time from Geneva is 1 hour making Chamonix an ideal weekend break or longer destination. With flights to Milan and Turin which are 1½ to 2 hours away, there is more flexibility for the independent traveller.
 Easyjet Easyjet have a main base in Geneva, only 45mins - 1 hour from Chamonix town centre. A new air route from Newcastle to Geneva has just started this year.
Ryanair Ryanair fly to Lyon (St Etienne), Grenoble, Turin, Milan (Bergamo) and Zurich. Slightly further from Chamonix 1½ - 2 hours driving, but great savings to be made in the flight prices.
Getting from the airport
There are numerous car hire companies at all the airports, so use your search engines and shop around for the best deal. Alternatively an airport transfer from Geneva can be easily arranged.
Travelling from the UK by car
If you wish to travel from the UK by car, the excellent French toll motorway system (60 Euros one way) get you to Chamonix from Calais in approximately 7½ hours. As with all options, the earlier you book, the cheaper the fare.
